My passion for History and Familly
I love History, I love Paris. My familly is from Normandy, Brittany and Great Britain so I naturally studied the movements of population within Europe over the centuries.
I started genealogy aroung thirty years ago, I remember taking an appointement with a small townhall in the Poher in order to be allowed to turn the pages of a revolutionnaty birth register.
Then came online associations that would transcribe documents and make them availaber to members.
Then the local archives started to scann the documents, to protect them from decay and make them available to a larger audiance.
That's when I started to help foreign people searching for one specific ancestor, unlock the temporary mystery and allos them to go on the quest.
And that's what I like best! So that's what I'm doing now. Please have fun readig the testimonies and discoveries.
Who is Adjutor?
Why Adjutor?
In latin it means "the helper". It gave ayuto in Italian and ayuda in Spanish. That's also and mainly the name of one of my great grand fathers. In my forties I found a distant cousin through genealogy and visited him.
He allowed me to discover more about the Adjutor who had such an unusual name. Adjutor was a caprenter, he got wounded during WW1 and was living in Normandy near Caen.
I was shown his diaries my cousin had in a keepsake box. Adjutor used 2 types of pencils for his daily tasks : a pencil for the clients and a blue biro for the familly. That was so neat and sweet I realted to that man and honnestly look at this smile!
